At our annual festivals and throughout the past seven years, Filmworks has presented a range of experimental and multicultural films from all over the world, including: the United States, A Prairie Home Companion, The Betrayal (Nerakhoon); France, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly; Germany, The Counterfeiters, Nowhere in Africa; Israel, Jellyfish; Romania, Four Months, Three Weeks and Two Days; Spain, Bad Education; Turkey, The Edge of Heaven; and many others. At our festivals, we have also showcased dozens of up-and-coming local and international filmmakers. With rave reviews, we continue to present more great programs at the beautiful and historic Tower Theatre.
The payoff for us at Filmworks is showing unusual and award-winning monthly movies and putting on a world-class, international film festival. We love watching our audience share the experience of film with us and with those around them. Whether our movies make you sad or joyous, angry or inspired, we hope you find them powerful and entertaining.
Without your support we can’t make the festival and our monthly series happen. We work diligently throughout the year to treat the thousands of people that watch our films to a memorable experience.
