“This film is loads of fun and, honestly, isn’t that what going to the movies is all about? Get ready, ‘Skills Like This’ is the movie all your friends — the really cool ones — will be telling you about.”
Amelia Cook, The Daily Page

“Sets itself apart from other noted independent comedies by dropping the indie-cute hip and distances itself from other similar slacker-flicks by infusing a high level of fast-paced rock-and-roll energy. The coolest, funniest movie I saw at this year’s Indiefest.”
Ayro Ponto, JustPressPlay.com

“With a fun visual style and a tone reminiscent of Wes Anderson, it’s no wonder that ‘Skills’ is getting accolades from festivals all over the world.”
Alexis Gentry, TrashWire.com

Synopsis

In Skills Like This, an inventive comedy that won the Audience Award at the South By Southwest Festival, Max faces the awful truth that he will never be a writer. In a desperate attempt to find his next artistic endeavor, Max turns to crime the day before his 25th birthday. His newfound talent ignites a passion within him and sends his two best friends on their own searches. Tommy, the slacker, is inspired to enter the job market; Dave, aware of the consequences of grand theft, becomes obsessed with writing the perfect apology letter. It may not be the time to fall in love, but when Max meets Lucy, he faces a decision. In the course of three days, three friends have their lives turned upside down when Max realizes that larceny might be his best skill.
